Usage of – itte, in the statements :

Every verb changes according to the tense. In the continuous tense, we find a suffix added to the main verb.

Example:
1. He keeps sleeping all day.
2. She kept planning that for weeks.
3. They will keep enjoying from the morning.

In Tamil , the has / have/ had brings in a change in the main ver. A suffix ‘-itte’ or ‘-kitte’ is added to the main verb to show the change in the tense.

Verbs ending with ‘a’ will usually have –ndhitte Example
Vaa(come) Va-ndhitte Avan vandhitte irukkaan.
Thaa (give) Tha-ndhitte Teacher parisu thandhitte irukaanga.
Verbs ending with ‘tu’ will usually have –itte/kitte Example
